LOT numbers should work more like serial numbers in that they are turned on at the item level. If an item has the LOT# option turned on when a client is entering a replenishment it should not let them submit the replenihsment unless the items that call for LOT's have a LOT number entered. As an alternative when the warehouse is receiving an item that has the LOT# turned on it should require that the receiver enter a LOT number if one was not noted on the replenishment. As it stands now it is very easy for an item that should have LOT tracking to get received in without any errors showing that either the customer or the warehouse that this information has not been captured.
